I am a senior at the University of Nevada, majoring in journalism and minoring in health and Spanish. After college graduation I plan to get my Masters in Communications to become a television broadcast journalist. In addition to my work at PPS, I have worked on projects for ESPNU and theblankgeneration.org.

Working under Kimm Fox-Middleton (Bond Communications Manager) as an intern with PPS has been an amazing experience. I enjoy working with the community and improving my communication and journalism skills.

Demarcus Carlisle
Demarcus Carlisle 2014 Summer High School Intern.

My name is Demarcus Carlisle, I was born in Portland and graduated from Grant High School in 2014. I am 18 years old and the youngest sibling in my family. I have two older brothers and one older sister. I love being an uncle to my 4 nieces and my nephew; they bring joy to my heart. I like to hang out with my friends. I consider myself the comedian of the group. My life dream is to become a stand-up comedian. Another goal of mine would be to maintain a good job; something I will enjoy doing for the rest of my life.
I chose to be an intern for PPS because I love helping kids. I have an interest in serving as a mentor for youth so I may offer guidance and support to others. I expect to learn the inside of the PPS district from more than just a classroom environment. I want to be involved and know what is going on in our community as well.

I'm Fenise Dossou, I was born in Haiti and I moved to the U.S when I was 14 years old.  I am now 18 years old and I graduated from Wilson High School this year! I speak two languages fluently, English and Haitian-Creole (and also I know some French). My goal is to become a nurse or a counselor after going to college.

I have two brothers, and two sisters and I am the oldest in the family. I love playing with kids and going out with my friends. I chose to intern at PPS because I want to know more about how PPS functions and I want to gain more experience communicating with our community.
