Intern Bio: Everlin Sonish

       Everlin Sonish is from Micronesia Chuuk. She moved to the U.S in 2008. She's 18 years old, and she graduated from Madison High School. Everlin speaks two languages, English and Micronesian 
Everlin's goal after graduating from high school is to become a travel agent. Volleyball is one thing she enjoys playing. 
     
     Her main job is keeping track of rolling computer at PPS. She chose to intern at PPS, because she wants to gain more experience and learn new things about PPS. 

Intern Bio: Stephon Hartley

      Stephon Hartley graduated from Jefferson High School in Spring 2014. His hobbies include playing basketball and working. Stephon plans to go to Portland State University for two years then transfer to University of Oregon. His dream job is to become a lawyer.

     He is currently interning in the mail room at PPS. His duties in the mail department include sorting mail and meter mail. Stephon's goal as an intern is to gain knowledge and better understanding of mail transportation. His favorite part of the internship is the cross training. 

Intern Bio: Brandon Saephan

        Brandon Saephan is 17 years old, he recently graduated from Roosevelt High School, home of the Rough Riders. He loves to listen to music and be outdoors. Brandon plans to attend University of Oregon in the fall. Brandon is focused on getting a career in business.


       Brandon's internship is site visiting, he visits the high school's football or track fields that are being replaced. He takes pictures and fills out site forms. He works with his coworker Rayanna, and supervisor Patrick Lebouef.

      Brandon chose this internship to learn about the business and management part of the construction happening to the football fields. Brandon has learned, so far, about the operation and improvement going on at the football fields.

Intern Bio: Max Van Donsel

       Max Van Donsel was born in Burbank,California and graduated from Mt.Scott High School in 2014. He is 18 years old and the youngest sibling in his family. Max's passion is skateboarding, his favorite place to skate is Mt. Tabor, “I would say skating brings me most joy in my life,” Max says. He spend a lot of time hanging out with friends around town. “I am very thankful for the people in my life they bring me lots of happiness,” Max says.

       His plans for education, although not completely thought out, includes getting his associates degree from PCC, then transferring to a university like PSU to complete a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. His life dream is to become a successful entrepreneur after working with his degree in a construction firm for however many years it takes him to get the funds necessary to be financially sufficient. 
       He chose to be an intern at PPS because he is interested in construction management. His supervisor is Mike Kwaske.  For Max's internship he maintains site reports on multiple construction sites. The title of his job is a Jr. Manager. Max expects to learn as much as possible and take every opportunity he gets in this profession.

Intern Bio: Stigma Sheikh

  Stigma Sheikh was born in Kenya, Africa and moved to the United States in 2004 at eight years old. Stigma attends Lincoln High School, home of the Cardinals, and is an incoming senior. After graduating high school, Stigma is planning on joining the U.S. Marine Corps. Later, Stigma hopes to get a law degree, masters degree in chemistry and biology and a degree in architecture.

       Stigma is a construction manager intern. The job includes managing the construction sites, along with fellow interns, Hussein Sheikh and Max Van Donsel. Stigma chose this internship at PPS to learn more about the construction field. Stigma expects to learn how equipment on construction sites work and how to do better management on construction sites with help from supervisor, Michelle Chariton. 

Intern Bio: Lan-Vy Tran

Lan-Vy Tran was born in Vietnam, she moved to the U.S in 2010. She is 18 years old, and she graduated from Cleveland High School in 2014. Lan speaks two languages, Vietnamese and English.Vy's goal after graduating from high school is to become a nurse. Traveling is one of Vy's hobbies. And also spending time with her family. She has one little brother and is the oldest in her family. 
        She chose to intern at PPS because she wants to gain more experience, and she wants to know more about PPS. During Vy’s internship she is helping set up the chromo book for PPS teachers.
